Welcome to Majestic's Temperature Control Network

Owning a vacation home in the Sierra Mountains, gives some of my customers and their associates the opportunity for a majestic place to get away, relax and play. Owning a heating contracting company in the Sierra Mountains gives me the opportunity to see firsthand, all too often, how the nature of the Sierra Mountains can keep my customers from doing anything but relax.

Unique to several homes here in the Lake Tahoe area is the amount of unoccupied time the home spends unchecked. One may assume naturally that, since the home is just sitting there idol, nothing can happen. Well, let’s suppose the heat fails and somehow at 10 degrees… the water was never drained from your home. Not a very relaxing thing to face. Not only costs for furnace repair, but also broken water pipes and everything else the loose water damaged. We have replaced a lot of water damaged duct work. A phone call when the home started getting to cold may have provided furnace repair work avoiding collateral home damages.

Bears, what can I say? They can wreak havoc on your hvac, plumbing, electrical and anything else you may have stored under your home and can scare a technician out of his boots! The bears especially like to find nice warm, dark, dry places where they can rip apart some nice soft duct work, clear away pipes and wires to build a soft insulated den, all awhile, leaving a path of destruction on condition that the bear enjoys your vacation home. We can only hope the bear doesn’t find his way through the hole where the return-air duct used to be. A phone call at the intrusion may have facilitated a prompt eviction of the bear preventing probable extensive damage.

Hot Water Heaters fail at the worst times. When hot water heaters leak they leak until somebody shuts off the water. The more minutes the tank leaks the larger the leak gets. The larger leak the larger the mess. A drop of water every tenth second is about 2500 gallons per month. That’s at the start of the leak in the tank. A phone call at the onset of the hot water heater leak may prevent a lot of flood damage or erosion of the neighbor’s house.

These types of scenarios have provided us with lots of work and homeowners with lots of headaches. Many of my customers asked us for some solutions to these unique problems and up until now my only suggestions have been to call an expensive alarm company that will charge an expensive amount for an elaborate security system for your cabin in the woods and charge a monthly fee with temperature and water monitoring extra. You would not believe the looks I get out here, in the middle of the Sierra Mountains, suggesting an alarm company.
